Why Bee Bee???

I was told that your "Canned Ham" must have a name. So I knew right away that her name would be Bee Bee. When I got her (bought her from pictures off of e-bay and a couple of phone conversations with the prior owner, sight unseen) I saw for the 1st time, that she has about 40 dimples (have yet to count them) on the curb-side lower exterior front pannel. Looks like some kids took some pot shots at the old girl or the Deer got away from some city hunters. When I picked her up the prior owner stated that I could replace the pannel ---- but they are just cute little dimples in the skin (no through and through) and I think this is part of her "over 50 year" character and patina. So I will keep her original "Bee Bee" pannel intact (maybe count them when I get a chance). I will let folks know that the Bee Bee shots that she carries are the inspriation and root of her name. This blog is dedicated to sharing Bee Bee's travels, memories and restoration activity as we camp in her throughout this great country and throughout the years.

Bee Bee had fun in 2011

I took Bee Bee out alot in 2011 ---- Camping with the kids in Wisconsin for a week; participating in Rallies in Northern and Southern Indiana and Montello WI; hosting a couple of Vintage Trailer Rally get-togethers in the spring and fall in Northern IL; and sleeping over at a couple of friends parties, around their out buildings (so I could party - responsably). By the time I put the trailer away for the winter in a friends barn - she was ready for well needed rest. 2012 is looking to be just as busy to!!!!

Traveling in 2010

I just realized that I did not mention my travels in 2010 with Bee Bee - so I must say it was a very busy year:
- starting out with a little get together in May called the Spring Fling followed by the Southern Indiana Rally with my mom and 4 dogs on a hot (no a/c) weekend in June (https://picasaweb.google.com/bjfrantz76/SullivanLakeVintageTrailerRallyJune2010#)
- in July John and the kids and I did a trip of a life time to Mt Rushmore and Yellowstone park (http://1958yellowstonetrip.blogspot.com/)
- then I flew solo to the Northern Indiana rally (with the Scrapanator) and took Alex, Bugger and Scrappy with me to the Midwest Rally in Montello on a hot (w a/c) August weekend; ending the season with the Woodstock Rally in September (https://picasaweb.google.com/bjfrantz76/WoodstockRally92010#)

Yes 2010 was a very busy year for Bee Bee and I!!!!
